INTENSE KOINONIA WITH CHRIST

  • 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV "[3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; [4] and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures."

"Koinonia" is a term that means fellowship or communion with God. If you believe that Christ Jesus is alive, you must seek deep koinonia with Him. Once you encounter Jesus, His love directs your intentions, motives, and decisions; your only passion will be Jesus. On Saul’s (Paul’s) journey to persecute God’s people, he was struck by the light of Jesus and immediately became blind (see Acts 9:1-5).

From that moment on, his only focus was Jesus alone (see 1 Corinthians 2:2). To be truly focused on Christ, we need to be "blind" to the things of the world—those things that draw our hearts away from God. If you have an intense koinonia with Jesus, you will talk about Him everywhere and anywhere.
